Option Strategies

1). Bull Spread:
when the market is expected to go up (bullish outlook) a bull spread can be created to make profits in rising market with minimum amount of risk. Bull spread is created by buying a call/put of lower strike price and selling another call/put of higher strike price.
2). Bear spread:
When the market is expected to go down (bearish outlook) a bear spread can be created to ensure profits in a falling market with minimum amount of risk. Bear spread is created by buying a call/put of higher strike price and selling another call/put of lower strike price.

3). Bottom straddle or Straddle purchase:
when the market is expected to be volatile and the direction of it is not clear bottom straddle strategy can be created. Bottom straddle can be created by buying a Call and a Put together of the same strike price and same expiry date.
4). Top straddle or Straddle sell:  when the market is expected to move in a sideways zone a top straddle can be created. Top straddle can be created by selling a Call and a Put together of the same strike price and same expiry date.
5). Butterfly Spread:  when the market is expected to move in a sideways zone a Butterfly spread can be created. Butterfly spread can be created by buying two call options, one with low strike price and the other with comparatively high strike price, and selling two call options having the strike price which lies in the middle of above two strike prices and which is close to the current prevailing market price.
6). Strangles:
when the market is expected to be volatile and the direction of it is not clear bottom straddle strategy can be created by buying a call of higher level and buying a Put of lower level. Both of these price levels of buying Call & buying Put forms the basis of ranges of Index beyond which it is expected to remain. If the prices remain outside the price range he makes profit otherwise loss.
7). Strips:
when the market is expected to be volatile and the direction of it is not clear bottom strips strategy can be created by buying a call and two puts of same strike price. Investor makes profit if the exercise price close far from the strike price of Call and Put taken.
8). Straps:
when the market is expected to be volatile and the direction of it is not clear bottom straps strategy can be created by selling two calls and a put of same strike price. Investor makes profit if the exercise price close far from the strike price of Call and Put taken.

Guide lines to trade Nifty options

Hi Guys,

We already explained trading rules what to follow while trading. Plz watch this below link who are new to Nifty siri.

Here we are adding some more guidelines.

1. Plz dont average your positions after hitting SL or without correct guidance.

2. After bought any script plz place square off order in 25%-50%-25 format.  depending upon market moment we can modify our squareoff orders. Some times Market will move fast.

3. Plz trade in mentioned script. For ex: if we asked to trade 4800 CE then dont trade in 5000CE. Cos there may u can find sellers more than buyers. At that time script will come down fast. So be alert.

4. Plz dont wait for exact target. Book and place orders price in points.

5. Dont expect fixed amount daily. Trade only when u got correct direction.

6. We are suggesting to trade nifty options with minimum 5 lots in intraday. By this method u can lock good profits.

7. We will suggest  other strategies positions calls depending upon market moment. That time u can trade with less qty.

8. If our call SL hit then exit ASAP. Dont try to trade or avg same script. Never hesitate to exit from losses. If not you can lost more money. SL hit means our call failed

9. You should respond fast while trading in options. Cos it moves fast some times. So enter and exit quickly depending up on market moment.

10. Trading in nifty options is risky thing. So be always safe with ur capital amount.

11. Always add nearest scripts in ur watchlist before going to start trading.

12. U can't earn huge money in one day. But u can lost all ur money in one day. So always do safe trading.

We are suggesting to follow these rules strictly. Study these rules again and again.

SMS service Problem

From yesterday onwords we are facing problem in sms. Need to check.. Plz adjust today and tomorrow. Sorry for inconvience. We are planning to take new service. Thanks

7. If Yes How much amount:
Less than 1000:30%
1000 to 2000:60%
More than 2000:10%

And we got some more negative comments. We will clarify here.

1. SMS delay: Currently we are using way2sms free service. U can send max 20 users at a time in group. So we are facing problems to send sms to almost 200 users. This is the main problem. So we are taking new sms service (paid) which is fast and to send call to all users at a time.

2. You are posting late in niftysiri website: Whenever we are giving calls we are posting in Yahoo messenger, sms  to all users, face book, niftysiri web, gmail and other forums. Some times it becoming late. That’s why u r getting 3 to 5 mins late in web or facebook. That’s why we are planning to send calls to only yahoo messenger and SMS service after we started paid service. To advertise ourselves we are giving calls free to all users in forums.

3. Pre exit: We are trading in stock market. So depending upon market moment we can suggest exit level other than target. We will inform if there is any change. Always follow our trading rules.

4. More calls: Every day we are looking to give 1 to 3 calls. But when we didn’t find correct moment in market that time we will stick to safe trading. At that time we will give 1 or 2 calls. Its depend upon market. And always we will keep max 2 positions in open. You can trade all our calls with 80k investment. Plz don’t ask for personal calls. When we got good one surely we will send you message.

5. We are ready serve better on Yahoo messenger. But in market hours we occupied with calls. So plz avoid unnecessary messages. You can mail us at niftysiri@gmail.com. Send messages to us which helpful to our subscribers and related to our calls. You can mail us market related articles.

6. Long term calls: When we got any good calls for long term investment that time we suggest that call. Personally who are interested can go with them. But we didn’t track that calls. This is suggestion only.

7. Genuine performance: You already know about our genuine performance. We are not modifying any calls. But we are planning to add contract note screen shot near call to prove our genuine performance. But it will take some time to implement this.

8. We need only niftycalls: We are suggesting don’t stick to only niftycalls. We need profits finally. So always trade in all our calls like nifty and Stock F&O.

9. DND service: Cos of DND some guys not getting calls. To get calls plz deactivate DND service.

10. Niftysiri blog: We are comfortable technically with blogger service. That’s why we want to continue with this only.

Hope we clarify all your concerns regarding our service. We always need your support to improve our self.

Thanks
NIFTY SIRI Team

Trading rules

Trading Rules:

Hi,

Here we are providing basic trading rules which must follow to end our day in profit. These are basic trading rules. Already you are aware. But lot of times we forget and end in losses. These rules are mistakes of some of my subscribers.

  1. Don’t trade blindly. Some times we trade without any news we trade blindly by thinking it will go up/ down. When u r buying or selling, you should answer why we are buying/selling.
  2. Market will never move depend upon what you say. We should buy/sell depend upon market move.
  3. Don’t try to trade always. Wait for correct moment and for correct chance. Enter and exit in correct time. Don’t addict to market. Some guys always want to keep positions. If there is no position they feel boar. But this is not correct.
  4. Don’t keep all your money in one position. Divide your capital money and keep in different calls.
  5. Strictly follow advisors advice. Enter, exit and SL. Follow levels correctly. Enter means enter in that level. If asked to book profit book profit at that level. If asked to exit any cost means you should exit. If SL hit you should close your position. You should follow this strictly. Otherwise you will end with huge losses.
  6.  Always book profit in 25-50-25 percentage levels.
 For ex: Buy nifty 5000 ce@100.  Target:130 SL:90
Enter around 98 to102 level.
Book 25% profit@120
Book 50% profit@ 125
Book 25% profit above 130.
  1. Never wait for exact target figure. Book around target figure. Ex: In above call our target 130. So book profit 128 to 132 levels.
  2.  Always buy and sell in points. When you are buying in above order keep buy order like 100.10, 100.60 etc. Don’t keep exact 100. In sell also same keep sell order like 128.90, 129.40 etc. don’t keep 130. Because at that level lot of people kept to buy/sell. So we have to keep in .30 etc formats always. Some times we loose money in points.
  3. When placing buy order check Ask price(means selling rate) and place order near to that. When placing sell order check Bid price(means buying rate) and place order near to that. LTP is Last Trading price.
  4. Check buyer’s volume and seller’s volume. Depend upon that you can understand how much demand for that scrip.
  5. Don’t enter lately in call. Enter and exit in correct time depend upon call. Be fast if you are trading with F&O.s
  6. Don’t enter again in same call after call closed. Suppose after closing above call if again price came down to 105 like some guys will reenter again. They say again it’s in low that’s why I want to buy. But this is not correct. Call closed means closed. Don’t enter again.
  7. In options they don’t have low or high prices. Some guys will buy because its in low. But don’t think like that and don’t enter. There are no low and high prices. We will get that prices depending upon call.
  8. Buy specified scrip instrument: Don’t try to buy another instrument. For ex if we gave buy nifty ce of 5000 then some guys will buy 5200 ce. But some instruments will move fast. Some instrument doesn’t contain that much volume. So strict to that instrument only. If u doesn’t have that much money then buy less quantity.
  9. Some times we are not available because of any technical issues or any other problems. At that time don’t wait for our calls. Just book profits at your comfort level.
  10. Follow news and discuss with good analysts.
  11. In F&O always note expiry date and holidays, follow your trades depending upon that.
  12. Activate call&trade service: When you’re trading if terminal not available keeps your call&trade numbers. Some times in short time huge move can occur in market.
  13. Don’t follow rumors blindly. Try to validate rumors with good service providers.
  14. Don’t invest money by borrowing for huge interest rates. When you taking risky calls just use money from your trading profits not from capital.
  15. Choose correct broker who is providing good service. You can ask/demand for less brokerage. For F&O ask for less brokerage.

I will add some more rules further. Please follow these rules strictly and remember always. Your comments and feedback most welcome. We are requesting to add some rules from your side via comments depend upon your experience. We will add same rules here.

Thanks
Niftysiri team

Put-Call Ratio

The Put-Call Ratio is the number of put options traded divided by the number of call options traded in a given period.
While typically the trading volume is used to compute the Put-Call Ratio, it is sometimes calculated using open interest volume or total dollar value instead. Weekly or monthly figures can also be calculated and moving averages are often used to smooth out the short term daily figures.

How to interpret the put call ratio

The average value for the put-call ratio is not 1.00 due to the fact that equity options traders and investors almost always buy more calls than puts. Hence, the average ratio is often far less than 1.00 (usually around 0.70) for stock options.
When the ratio is close to 1.00 or greater, it indicates a bearish sentiment. The higher than average number indicates more puts being bought relative to calls. This means that more traders are betting against the underlying and hence the general outlook is bearish. Conversely, when the ratio is near 0.50 or lesser, it implies a bullish sentiment.

The put call ratio as a contrarian indicator

To the contrarian investor, the put call ratio can be used to determine when the investing crowd may be getting either too bullish or too bearish. A high put call ratio is a bullish sign as the it points to an over-bearish crowd - and vice versa.

Equity put call ratio vs. Index put call ratio

A popular strategy used by fund managers involves the buying of index put options to protect their portfolios. As a result, the put call ratio for index options is generally higher than that for equity options. Hence, for a better indicator of the sentiment of the speculative crowd, the equity put call ratio is used instead.

OPEN INTEREST

OPEN INTEREST
Benefits of monitoring open interest
By monitoring the changes in the open interest figures at the end of each trading day, some conclusions about the day’s activity can be drawn.

Increasing open interest means that new money is flowing into the marketplace. The result will be that the present trend ( up, down or sideways) will continue.

Declining open interest means that the market is liquidating and implies that the prevailing price trend is coming to an end. A knowledge of open interest can prove useful toward the end of major market moves.

A leveling off of open interest following a sustained price advance is often an early warning of the end to an uptrending or bull market.

Open Interest - A confirming indicator
An increase in open interest along with an increase in price is said to confirm an upward trend. Similarly, an increase in open interest along with a decrease in price confirms a downward trend. An increase or decrease in prices while open interest remains flat or declining may indicate a possible trend reversal.

The relationship between the prevailing price trend and open interest can be summarized by the following table.
